Season 12 started with 16 new players. Each player entered the game with a secret unknown by the other players (except for Nick and Shay, who secretly were siblings). In addition to the secrets, this season was themed "USA vs Canada" as there were for the first time, 8 Canadian (4 male and 4 female) players and 8 American (4 male and 4 female) players competing to determine whether Canada or the US has the best players. Once the players were initially introduced to one another and it became clear there were more than a few Canadians, the teams were formed and pitted against each other from day one. Everyone made effort to get to know each other with very minimal game play. John and Chantell were among the first Canadians to meet and agree that their team needed to win the first Head of Household because they feared the Americans would immediately target Canadians. The Canadian players were first to create an all Canadian group chat where it was vocalized early that "Canada Strong" would become a thing in the game and they should do whatever is necessary to take control of the game as soon as possible. John also felt the Canadians needed to grab control because he was hearing snippets of conversations from different players that some American players might target Dave specifically as he was on several people's radar as an early candidate for a first nominee to evict should any American's win HoH. John and other Canadians wanted to protect their numbers by bringing attention to an American player that could be seen as a big target, keeping that person in the game as a distraction while targeting stronger American players. Siblings Nick and Shay felt keeping as much distance as possible between them would help hide their connection once the secret became known that two players were connected. John having connected with Nick felt he might be one of the few Americans who might be willing to secretly work with the Canadians. Nick also informed Shay that he may have insight into some of how the Canadians were forming alliances but would keep her shielded but not included initially. Once the secret's twist was explained to the players and all the secrets were revealed, everyone immediately began speculating who owned which secret. Lotese, Chantell and Charlie were using their collective deductive reasoning to guess at who's secret belonged to who. Suspicion fell on Jarvis and Lotese as being the players who might be connected. Lotese would later leave the conversation to be replaced by Maryana where Charlie and Chantell immediately began "grilling" her on what her secret was which she later relayed to LeAnne saying that red flags were raised on both Chantell and Charlie and how close they may have already become in the game. Charlie felt instantly drawn to Chantell, game wise and romantically, and hinted at the two of them working together and being each other’s final two partner in the game. John was also drawn to Chantell and they three together formed the first alliance of the season called the Three Amigos.
Maryana would later relay her suspicions to Lotese about just how close Chantell might actually be with Charlie saying, "we need to watch that". Lotese agreed that she had also sensed that Chantell and Charlie may be working more closely than they are intending to let on. Shay also mentioned to her HoH team, which included Charlie, that she saw John and Chantell as very strong players to be aware of, that they might make a formidable duo if left unchecked. Charlie would later inform Chantell that Shay had said her name arousing Chantell's suspicions and feeling frustrated not understanding why Shay would feel she was any kind of a threat since they had had zero conversation to this point in the game. Brian in conversation with John, hinted that if he were to win Head of Household, he would consider nominating Shay and Nick for eviction since they were the only two players that had next to no conversation with him which he found highly suspicious; he felt nominating Shay and Nick would cause the least amount of ripples in the house. Amy wondered to John if Nils was in league with Americans more since he seemed the least interested in talking with Canadians, but John assured her Nils was probably just slow to respond and nothing more. The first head of household competition was competed in teams where members of the two losing teams would be eligible for nomination. The two losing teams were a team of four Americans and a team of four Canadians. Chris became the first HoH of the season and felt for his game and for the rest of his fellow countrymen, he would only nominate Canadian players. He nominated Dave and Kayla for eviction. The players were informed of the next twist in the game which was the Chamber of Truth. Players began scouring the house photos for clues which were quickly discovered and in short order, the location of the chamber was uncovered. Players started sharing how to access the chamber among themselves in a matter of hours. By the time of the first Power of Veto competition, the only players who had not viewed the chamber were Dave, Nils and Karen. Debate went back and forth about whether Dave should be kept over Kayla. Nick and Shay debated about possibly feeding Kayla Charlie’s secret as a mascot which they had uncovered, in part because of how close with Chantell Charlie seemed which she felt was very sketchy since he was on the American side, echoing sentiments from LeAnne as well to which she said she would just remain watchful.
LeAnne and Maryana, donning their "Sherlock Holmes" hats, would also become the only players to find a clue to a hidden power in the game and began their “silent” hunt for the advantage. In the end it was LeAnne who found the secret veto advantage that would give her the ability to change nominations during eviction. This power was only usable for the next eviction ceremony. In the HoH, Chris asks John what his secret is, John said "don’t ask me my secret unless you want to share secrets". Chris says ok and decides to tell John that his secret was that he played the cyber security game, which was John’s secret. This made it clear to John he could only trust Chris but so far but gave him a "fake" secret as well which Chris would later learn was also untrue. Maryana won the first power of veto competition of the season but felt it was best for her game not to rock the boat and decided to leave Kayla and Dave on the block. After the ceremony, Chantell told Kayla she was very confident that Amy's secret was being a psychic and suggested she could save herself by using the power of Amy's secret. Kayla was not fully confident that was Amy's secret or whether Chantell's intentions were genuine in trying to keep her in the game and instead resumed her own search for clues to a secret, while still debating whether she even needed to use a secret to save herself. With eviction looming, the players were looking with earnest for clues to which secrets belonged to which players while still learning the new players and navigating the minefield of personalities. Chantell told Lotese that John was telling Chris about her desire to see Chris on the block. Lotese is not a fan of bullies and said that that was how she viewed Chris’ and John's game. She also made it known to more than few players that she should she win HoH she would not nominate a woman which made some of the male players take special notice of that fearing that any of them could be her targets. Chantell and Lotese were both irritated that John had loose lips while Nils heard from Amy that Lotese may have mentioned to her that she should watch Nils, Lotese felt that Nils may have been the one who played in the cyber security game and was very focused on finding clues to both John's and Chris' secrets to use against them, she made no secret that she was a fan of either of them. Nils getting this information made him feel uneasy and that Lotese may be trying to put a target on him with other players. Charlie felt that out of all the players, he knew the least about Nick and Shay and felt they were the biggest and most immediate threat and should he win HoH that was who he would nominate for eviction.
Having made her decision, Kayla correctly guessed that Lotese was secretly obsessed with Harry Potter, placing Lotese in the eviction chair in her place. Chris was jubilant at this turn of events and felt this was the move that needed to happen because he knew the Lotese was targeting him. Dave incorrectly guessed that Shay had secretly met Michael Jackson and remained on the block next to Lotese. Because her secret was used to place her on the block, Lotese was ineligible to guess at a secret. At the eviction, LeAnne used her secret power to remove Dave from the chopping block, the shock and surprise of everyone, forcing Chris to name a replacement. Chris, not wanting to make anymore enemies, placed Kayla back on the block, who despite having saved herself from the block by the power of a secret, it did not make her immune from being placed on the block again but by doing so gave her the opportunity of guessing at the identity of another secret. She incorrectly guessed that Shay had played the game before. So after whiplash round of musical eviction chairs, eviction was between Kayla and Lotese. Lotese was at a loss for words at being unexpectedly placed in the eviction chair. All of the houseguests, except LeAnne, then cast their votes for eviction. LeAnne lost her ability to vote in this eviction as a consequence of trying to extend her advantage which was only usable for this eviction ceremony. Lotese was evicted by a vote of 8-4 and Dave would become the new Head of Household. During the first couple of days of the game Chris formed his "Solid 6" alliance consisting of himself, Brian, John, Charlie, Maryana and Chantell, believing they could take control of the game and run the evictions, however Chris began making moves of his own, trying to form other alliances and connections, without informing his new fledgling alliance, which rubbed them the wrong way. His actions made it seem as if he was already going rogue and needed to be reigned in. In short order, Dave, Chantell, Charlie and John devised a plan to get Chris out of the game by having Dave nominate Chris and Charlie for eviction then Charlie would guess at a secret in the hopes of being correct, swapping places with that secret's owner, while also hoping that Chris did not know a secret leave him on the block with the expectation of the majority of the house voting him out.
Dave nominated Charlie and Chris for eviction and according to plan, Charlie correctly guessed that Nick was the owner of the secret that he was connected to another player in the game prior to the power of veto competiton. It was also revealed that he and Shay were actually brother and sister. The next step was to ensure that anyone but Chris won the power of veto. John won the veto and kept nominations the same, and seemingly with the majority of the house on board to evict Chris, the die was cast that he would be leaving, as long as he didn't know a secret, which he did. Charlie was worried that Chris might have discovered his secret and hoped that no one was helping him discover secrets, he along with the other members of the Solid 6 doubled down in reassuring Chris that he had the votes to stay in the game, hoping that would disarm any suspicions he may have about a possible blindside. Chris, however, sensing a ripple in the force, suspecting the secret that John told him was not really his secret, and feeling his game was in jeopardy, Chris made an unexpected and stunning move and correctly guessed that Charlie had been a collegiate and professional mascot placing his ally and fellow alliance member on the block, shocking his alliance and the rest of the house. The plan to evict Chris evaporated and eviction was now between Charlie and Nick. Since Nick and Charlie were both placed on the block by the power of their secrets, they were ineligible to guess at secrets. Chris' actions only solidified what the solid 6 alliance already suspected, that he was unpredictable and a liability to the alliance and had become someone they could no longer trust prompting John, Chantell and Charlie to double the efforts at discovering his secret. Brian, understanding the risk that Chris presented to the alliance felt it was still a better option to keep him in the game as a target and shield, John also felt it might be in his best interest that Chris remain in the game but both of them knew that the majority of the house wanted him out. Just before eviction, Nick called an impromptu house meeting and decided to plead to the other players that it might be in their best interest to keep him, and to consider whoever saves him actually gains two votes should they be on the block, since he was playing alongside his sister, however, despite his plea, he was evicted by a vote of 9-3. Following his eviction, Maryana won the next HoH competition to the delight of her alliance. Charlie confronted Chris about using his secret without even giving him a heads-up, Chris said desipte haering he had the numbers, he felt that his back was against the wall and used the only card he knew for certain would save him and also that he was certain Charlie would have the votes to stay. Charlie said he understood the position Chris felt he was in and felt the best way to move forward was to continue to work together with the Solid 6 alliance.
Maryana and Brian were also forming a closer working relationship within the Solid 6, feeling that he was very trustworthy. They agreed it was necessary to branch out from the alliance to form relationships with other players, possibly forging bonds that could pay off later in the game. Maryana was also getting closer to LeAnne and both were also getting closer with Dave and together these four formed the "Invisible 4" alliance saying they were hidden in plain sight from the rest of the house. Maryana and Jarvis also became closer, to the point that Jarvis revealed his secret to Maryana that he was almost arrested in Paris. Maryana assured him his secret was safe with her, but she did not feel comfortable giving up her own secret just yet which Jarvis understood, but in a show of faith and trust she would eventually confide in him her own secret. The alliance wanted to see Maryana nominate Chris for eviction however Maryana had set her sights on Amy. With it being revealed that Shay and her brother were secretly playing together, and now that he had been evicted, Shay felt more vulnerable than ever, and expecting that she was a probable next target, decided to try and curry the trust of Maryana by volunteering to be a pawn while also hoping she could possibly guess the secret of a bigger threat in the game. Members of the Solid 6 alliance were also feeling that Shay needed to go. Brian suggested to Maryana that she could say in her nomination speech that Karen not having spoken to her is her reason for nominating her and to appease the Solid 6, she nominates Shay but will tell her that she’s just a pawn, not to worry that Karen was the real target. Brian would then hint to the Solid 6 that Maryana is saying Shay’s not the target to make her feel comfortable so that she doesn’t feel the need to use a secret, which appeases the alliance, and it may put more pressure on Karen to utilize a secret that either he or Maryana would feed to Karen her. Brian and Maryana decided it would benefit their game to have Karen guess Amy's secret which they would feed her. Maryana nominated Karen and Shay for eviction, however before their plan could be executed, Shay was removed from the game and the HoH cycle was reset, since she was a nominee, her removal was treated as the eviction for Maryana's HoH reign. Nils would become the next HoH and he nominated Chris and Karen for eviction. Maryana, LeAnne, Nils, Chantell, Dave and Charlie formed the renovators because they devised a plan to get Chris up on the block and out of the house which they felt was a renovation of the house dynamic. Kayla would win the POV and decided to keep nominations the same. Chris once more showing how strong his survival instincts were, realizing his back was against the wall correctly guessed Amy's secret that she was a psychic medium, to the dismay of the house. Nominations were now between Amy and Karen. Brian helped Karen access the chamber of truth where she received a hint to the semi-professional football player secret. She shared her hint with Brian which he felt confirmed his suspicions of Chris' secret and fed that to Karen who in turn correctly guessed Chris' secret, swapping places with him, putting him back on the block. Eviction was now between Amy and Chris to the excitement of the house. LeAnne and Maryana discussed whether Dave and Chris were actually closer than everyone thought, wondering why Chris did not guess Dave's secret, which many in the game had uncovered. Suspecting they may be working together, LeAnne and Maryana tossed around the idea of telling Dave that it was LeAnne who saved him in hopes of confirming he would vote Chris out of the game.
Chris campaigned and was assured he had the votes or that if it came down to a tie, Nils would break the tie in his favor however he had no chance of staying as no one in the house was planning on keeping him. Chris was evicted by a unanimous vote. After Chris was evicted, Amy would go from the block to the top winning her first competition becoming the new HoH. Amy asked LeAnne if she wouldn’t mind being a pawn up against John, who although he was a Canadian, they had formed a very contentious, adversarial relationship. Amy inferred that she would feed Dave's secret to LeAnne because she didn't fully trust him but wasn’t willing to nominate Dave straightaway as she felt it would look bad targeting two Canadians. Amy nominated John and LeAnne for eviction. At this point, LeAnne confides in Dave that she saved him, hoping to secure his vote to save her against his fellow Canadian. Dave declared his loyalty to LeAnne as his no. 1 in the game and cemented their final two alliance. Maryana expressed to Dave that she felt safest with LeAnne, Dave and Nils and that she thinks the renovators is a backup to whatever other game they may be playing. Dave in discussion with LeAnne, Maryana and Nils said that if any of the Renovators were to leave he would prefer it to be Chantell or Charlie first but isn’t sure it is in their best interest to get rid of any of them right now. Amy told Brian who told John that she fed Dave's secret to LeAnne in the hopes that if LeAnne did not win veto to save herself she uses Dave’s secret. LeAnne won the POV and saved herself from eviction and Amy replaced her with Karen who was given Jarvis' secret by Brian. Karen correctly guessed that Jarvis was almost arrested in Paris, swapping places with him on the chopping block. Jarvis and Dave were on the block for eviction. Jarvis became the fifth player evicted from game and was voted out unanimously. Following Jarvis' eviction the house was informed of a twist to the game. One of the first five evicted players would be returning to the game by either a random draw of the winning return trip ticket or the house could vote for the person they wanted to see return to the game. The house would have a second unanimous vote of the evening deciding that it was safest for everyone's game to bring Jarvis back into the game. Jarvis was given a chance to earn safety before returning to the game and won, so he was back in the game and was safe from nomination during the next eviction. Nils would become the new head of household and set his sights onto Amy who was fast becoming the new house target follwing Chris' departure. Nils nominated Amy and Karen for eviction to the delight of his alliance. Although he was on the block, John was glad to see his nemesis on the block and anticipated seeing seeing her finally leave the game. Amy however had other plans.
Amy guessed Chantell’s secret before the power of veto competition, swapping places with her on the chopping block, setting the house ablaze and sending a shocked Chantell into an angry tirade ready to duke it out and win veto, hoping to see Amy back on the block. No one understood why Amy did it prior to veto, giving Chantell a chance and and leaving herself vulnerable to being put back on the block. Amy said she consulted her crystal ball and pendulum and felt this was what led to her discovering that Chantell was the one who met Michael Jackson and that she also felt that it was necessary that she guess it before veto. Brian immediately went to Chantell insisting that he had nothing to do with this, that it was all Amy who had come up with it on her own. Brian’s insistence only served to stoke suspicions from John, Charlie and Chantell, who many in the house had begun suspecting were much closer than they let on and of having a final three deal. Chantell would later confront Brian, knowing that he had previously fed Karen secret information, asked if this was actually an elaborate plan of his to get her on the block. Brian had not concocted a plan to get Chantell nominated but paranoia and suspicion had already taken root as both John and Charlie were shellshocked at the sudden turn of events. Charlie also felt particularly responsible because he suspected that he may have indirectly contributed to Chantell’s current fate by confiding in LeAnne Chantell’s secret which he suspected she may have fed to Amy. Kayla, LeAnne and Jarvis all discuss what other moves Amy may make whlie acknoledging how much of an inviting target Chantell now makes being on the block. Kayla is excited to consider flipping the votes to evict her should she remain on the block. Jarvis suggests to Nils to consider putting LeAnne on the block in place of Amy in case the veto is used to protect LeAnne's secret from being used against her after the veto ceremony. Stating that Amy is still a threat in the house that others will target so it may be a safer play to keep her around as a shield. Karen won the veto and saved herself from the block. Nils replaced Karen with Amy. Amy again consults her crystal ball and this time correctly guesses Brian's secret that he climbed Mount Kilamanjaro. Amy is once again safe from elimination and Chantell and Brian both begin campaigning for votes. Chantell was conflicted about campaigning against Brian but continued trying to convince others why she was better for their game, saying that she would in fact target her former allies John and Charlie. Chantell was also extremely sorrowful at the turn of events and facing the possibility of actually not making it into jury. John was very hesitant to move forward with Brian believing he may have secretly sold them out and divulged Chantell’s secret to Amy. During eviction, Chantel gave a very tearfilled and emotional plea to the other houseguests but was evicted by a vote of 7-2.
Following Chantell's eviction the players went into a new HoH competition and Kayla would collect her second win of the season and her first HoH. Charlie, John and Brian were trying to regroup and understand how Chantell wound up evicted when they were assured by multiple people they were voting to keep her. John basically told Brian that he no longer trusted him feeling that since he had been the one to feed secrets to Karen, that he must’ve been the one to give Chantell's secret to Amy. As HoH, Kayla and her Demolition Squad allianceof herself, LeAnne, Jarvis, Nils and Dave devised a plan to ensure that either John or Charlie would be the next to leave. The plan involved Kayla nominating Dave and Nils from the Demolition Squad. Dave would then guess LeAnne's secret, swapping places with her on the chopping block. In addition to that, Dave won a POV Pick advantage during the previous POV competition which guaranteed him to be a player in this POV competition. Brian and Jarvis were also picked to compete which meant that four members of the Demolition Squad were playing in the competition with the expectation that either John or Charlie would be going on the block as long as Brian didn't win veto. Dave won the Power of Veto and Nils executed the last step of the plan which was to try and discover John’s secret. Nils used his remaining one-time access of the Chamber of Truth to gain the clue to the identity of “I played in an online cyber security game”. Kayla wanted to save John and assured her alliance she could control him despite her alliance wanting John to go home. Kayla's thought was that John was less of a threat now that Chantell was out of the game. Kayla's reserveations set off alarms for the rest of her alliance who felt that she was not as solid as they originally thought, since she was actively trying to save the biggest target in the game other than Amy. Dave used the veto on LeAnne and Kayla decided to replace her with Amy.
Amy's crystal ball came through yet again and she immediately and correctly guessed Maryana’s secret and swapped places with her putting Maryana on the block next to Nils. Nils then correctly guessed Karen’s secret instead of John's, placing her on the block next to Maryana. Since Karen had also correctly guessed secrets previously, the house felt she had become a credible threat, so having her on the block was an inviting option. Karen was evicted 7-1 and became the first member of the jury. Following her departure, the houseguests were informed that there would be a triple eviction, and that before the evening was done, two more players would be joining Karen in jury, and that this was end of the secrets twist. The houseguests competed in a Battle of the Sexes where it would come down to a nail-biting tie-breaker between LeAnne and Brian, the two sides of the house. Brian won HoH and immediately nominated John, Charlie and Amy for eviction, expecting that John and Charlie would guess at Nils and Kayla’s secret. Amy and Charlie immediately guessed at the remaining secrets before the POV while John did not. Amy showed her potency in the game yet again, correctly guessing that Kayla owned “I assisted in the circumcision of an adult male” while Charlie guessed incorrectly that Nils had played in a cyber security game. In true Big Brother irony, Kayla's game began with a surprise guess at Lotese's secret and was possibly ending in a surprise guess at her own, as she traded places with Amy on the chopping block. Eviction was between John, Kayla and Charlie. The POV competition was played, John won the POV and removed himself from the block. Brian as HoH nominated Nils as his replacement on the block. The remaining six players were then instructed that they would only be voting to save one of the three HGs on the chopping block. LeAnne, Maryana, Dave and Jarvis saved Nils while only John and Amy voted to save Kayla. Kayla and Charlie were sent to the jury house to the surprise of Brian and John who had been assured by everyone earlier they were going to work together and save Kayla.
Following Kayla and Charlie’s eviction, John and Brian were incensed, putting their past animosities to the side as they both felt played and lied to by people who they believed they could trust. Brian had become closer to Maryana and felt particularly betrayed by her. John and Brian both wanted to know “Who flipped?”. Maryana said she voted Charlie and was surprised to see that no one else did. Dave said he stuck with the plan of voting for Kayla to stay and said that it must’ve been Amy and Jarvis and found it hard to believe that LeAnne would vote against their 4-person alliance. John seemed more sure of Dave’s allegiance while he questioned whether Maryana was really with them but Brian was more doubtful of where Dave actually stood but seemed to feel that he possibly did indeed vote for Kayla while thinking that it must’ve been Amy, LeAnne and Jarvis who voted her out. Seeing that they may indeed be on the outside of the current dynamics of the house, Brian and John decided to put it behind them and try to move forward hoping that would help ease tensions should they not win HoH, and in an effort to not be picked off by the other remaining players, formed a new alliance of Dave, Brian, John and Maryana called Last of the Mohicans. The players went into the next HoH which was a mini-endurance competition. Nils came away another HoH, and the next day nonminated John and Brian. John and Brian knew the writing was on the wall and could only hope for a miracle. Following the nomination ceremony, the houseguests were advised that a special competition would take place the next day that would offer a game changing advantage. John and Brian could not believe their ears and hoped that one of them would win the advantage.
The mystery competition was the next twist in the game and it was the Hacker competition that would give the winner of this challenge unprecedented power to "hack" the HoH's reign. With his back against the wall, Brian won the hacker competition and found new life in the game learning what his power would allow him to do. As the hacker he could secretly remove one of Nils' nominees and replace that person with a player of his choice. Should that player be removed, the hacker would also have the ability to determine who his replacement would be. Brian removed himself from the block and replaced himself with Jarvis. He also named Dave as the new randomly selected player in the upcoming competition. Nils and Dave devised a plan, thinking it was Brian who won the hacker power, they would either keep nominations the same or remove Jarvis from the block, in the event that John was safe, Nils would put up Amy against one of their own and If the vote were to come to a tie during eviction, Nils would be the deciding vote to send whomever to the jury. Maryana and LeAnne privately discussed the idea of keeping Brian to possibly take a shot at Nils as it was becoming clear Nils was the biggest player in the game and that time may come sooner than later. Maryana told Dave that she felt it was best that she did not win the POV to avoid having Brian being upset with her if she chose not to use it giving Dave the impression that Brian indeed had more sway with Maryana than he may have previously thought. Nils would win the POV and decided to remove the hacker’s nominee, Jarvis from the block while issuing a challenge to the hacker saying “your move hacker”, who he believed to be Brian and wanted to see if Brian was indeed going to save Amy from the block. Brian (the hacker) replaced Jarvis with Amy. Dave and LeAnne later discussed how Dave felt he was ready to take a shot at Nils feeling that no one could beat him in the end and reaffirmed to LeAnne that she was his no. 1 ally in the game, while Nils believed that he was Dave’s no. 1.
The rivalry between Amy and John had escalated over the course of the season into repeat verbal sparring matches as both once again found themselves pitted against the other on the eviction block. John lamented being voted out against Amy of all people and was campaigning to stay based on the premise that he would go after Nils and Brian. Brian was trying to assure John that he would vote to save him and with both of them having been in the former Solid 6 alliance with Maryana, was hoping that she might save him. Brian, as the hacker, was also intending to nullify one players vote at eviction, and Brian did just that by nullifying Jarvis' vote. Despite having done that, John was evicted by a unanimous vote of 4-0. The players went into a new head of household and Amy would come away with her second HoH win and nominated Jarvis and Brian for eviction. Brian felt his time in the game was coming to an end as he knew that everyone would be gunning to win veto and make sure he was the next player to leave, believing he was the final member of the Solid 6 alliance, but he wasn't and Maryana knew that others may not be clear on her connection to that alliance. Brian was assured by Maryana that she indeed wanted him to remain in the game, and that she would vote out Jarvis if they were up at eviction and the likely-hood of who else might vote to keep him. They also both realized the danger of keeping Nils in the game and suspected that there might just be more to Charlie’s assertion that Nils and Amy might have a tighter connection than was previously considered, thus the reason why she chose not to nominate him right away. Brian reminded Maryana that Nils presents the greatest threat to anyone winning at the end and how dangerous it would be going forward with so few players left to get him out of the game. Dave also commented to LeAnne and Maryana separately how he was ready to make that move against Nils should either Jarvis or Brian come off the block.
Amy assured others that if one of the nominees came down that her replacement would be Nils. Brian would emerge with his second consecutive veto win and during the veto ceremony removed himself from the chopping block. Amy, to the shock and dismay of everyone, decided to go back on her word and replaced Brian with LeAnne. LeAnne was livid and had a very terse and tense conversation with a weepy and apologetic Amy, expressing her disappointment in the turn of events but vowed to stay and fight. LeAnne was even more motivated to play harder to make sure that Amy was evicted next. Amy spoke with others and would also tell Jarvis that should the eviction vote come to a tie, she would vote to keep Jarvis over LeAnne. The next day, Amy woke up with the pressing thought in her mind that Brian and Nils secretly had an alliance and were quietly playing the other players against one another, she felt both may have been coasting on the idea that they were openly working against the other while privately really playing the game together. They did not have a secret alliance. Amy approached LeAnne and Maryana with her thought and she was convinced that she did indeed make a bad choice in not nominating Nils after all. LeAnne and Maryana both fueled Amy’s paranoia using that as a way of ensuring that should the vote come to a tie, Amy would actually save LeAnne. When it came to the eviction. Jarvis was voted out of the game for a second time by a unanimous vote in addition to sitting on the block for the second time during an Amy HoH. Brian won the next HoH competition.
Brian nominated Nils and Amy saying that he was throwing the gauntlet back to Nils to save himself as the erstwhile competitor he has proven to be and to Amy that he wanted to see her game without the power of a secret to save her. During the veto competition Brian would win his second POV of the season. Holding all the power during his reign, Brian decided to keep noms the same. Amy began campaigning for votes essentially telling everyone what they wanted to hear. Dave, Nils, Maryana and LeAnne all celebrated that their “Core Four” alliance would be the dominant alliance left in the house against Brian after Amy leaves the game, and that Brian could not play in the next HoH. They felt he was finally where they needed him to be. Dave and Nils devised a plan to convince Brian that it was best for the house if Amy was evicted over Nils while Brian was assured by Maryana that she would indeed vote Nils out. Brian spoke to Amy also saying that Nils would be the one to leave the game if everything went according to plan, and suggested that she consider not campaigning to hard and that he would work on her behalf to convince others that the best thing to do was to keep Amy over Nils. Amy however was intent on campaigning to others regardless to ensure her safety in the game. Dave informed Brian that Amy had told him that if she stayed she would indeed target Brian. Brian then went to Amy saying that he’s heard from everyone that Amy is openly campaigning for votes on the premise that she would target him. Amy said she had indeed said that but that had been when Brian had won HoH and previously nominated her for eviction, not recently. Brian suggested again that Amy consider not campaigning which Amy didn’t take kindly to, taking it to mean she shouldn’t try to save herself and emphatically said she would not be doing that at all, taking Brian's suggestion as a threat. In spite of her "never say die" attitude, Amy was evicted from the house by a 3-0 vote. Going into the next Head of Househould, Nils would win HoH yet again and nominated LeAnne and Maryana for eviction. LeAnne and Maryana connected early in the game and while never formalizing an alliance, they worked very closely throughout the duration of the game, however allies were now faced with the reality of figuring out how to campaigning against the other.
While Maryana struggled with going against her ally, LeAnne knew that the vote would most likely be a tie with Nils breaking it in Maryana's favor. LeAnne knew her best chance to remain in the game was to secure Brian's vote, and the only way to do that was to throw her ally Maryana under the bus. LeAnne came clean to Brian about having worked against him but also revealed in full detail Maryana's role in everything that had taken place throughout the game without his knowledge, helping him piece together events that transpired in the game and Maryana's hand in them. Brian, shell shocked by the revelation that the person he trusted most in the game had been working against him resulted in the most stunning vote of the season as Brian voted out his closest ally despite a very tearfilled and emotional plea, Maryana was evicted from the game leaving Dave, Nils, Brian and LeAnne as the final four players. The final four went into the most crucial HoH competition of the season, and with comp beast Nils unable to compete, it was the focus of all the players, including his "no. 1" ally Dave to see him leave the game next. Dave won HoH and nominated Brian and Nils for eviction but all that mattered now was the power of veto. In a tense race for the power of veto, LeAnne came away with her second win of the season. The players immediately went into an instant eviction where after hearing pleas from both Nils and Brian, LeAnne evicted Nils to the delight and shock of the jury, leaving the final three players to compete in the final 3-part HoH competition. In a stunning upset in an endurance competition, LeAnne won the first pert. Dave and Brian went head-to-head with Brian emerging victorious in part 2, and it all came down to the third part where LeAnne dominated the competition, winning part 3 and becoming the final head of household of the season. LeAnne, remaining true to her final 2 with Dave, evicted Brian from the game. After intense questioning by the jury, both finalists put forth their reason for being voted the winner. LeAnne was declared the winner of the season winning by a vote of 5-4.
