Virtual Big Brother

Virtual Big Brother 2 started with 16 brand new players and began with a twist making Suzan the surprise first HoH of the season. She would then go on to win HoH twice more. While being seen as an emerging competitor in comps, she also played a very solid social game which would eventually lead her to linking up with Paul, who himself entered the game with a very strategic and socially-adept approach. This semi-alliance would meet its end when Suzan was voted out to jury unanimously leaving Paul with his next closest ally in the game, Karly. Paul had also simultaneously struck up a friendship with Elissa who was closest to Jeremy. Both Elissa and Jeremy would find themselves early and consistently targeted throughout the game, escaping eviction each time, even being on the block at final six but unforeseen circumstances gave them yet again renewed life in the game. In another VBB first, Edward began a flirtmance with Matt but when he wound up on the block, his flirtmance partner Matt voted him out. Andrea teamed up early on with Ricky and they planned to undermine other players games however Andrea in her excitement went a bit haywire during her time in the game. Her newly formed alliance with Ricky broke down and she quickly became the most despised player of the season. She was voted out unanimously. Ricky, tried to recover his image of having been aligned with her but fell victim to a rewind game twist and was voted out. Matt struggled early on to gain a foot hold in the game with so many strong personalities however as it turned out his difficulty in cementing any one alliance was offset by a phenomenal social game which would ultimately lead him, along with to the final 4. Paul would unfortunately have to pull himself from the game after losing his one remaining and closest ally and also due to personal reasons. Matt was voted out to jury at F3 leaving Jeremy and Elissa as the final two players. Elissa was voted the winner of season 2.

Twists
  • First to comment. Of all the house wall photos, one photo in particular held special signifance. It was a photo of a phone and the first HG to comment on this photo would also become Head of Household. Suzan was the first to become HoH and had to make two nominations immediately.
  • Carpe Diem power. Latin for "sieze the moment" meaning to take advantage of the moment was a power that was aawarded to Jeremy by audience vote. Depending on whath point in the game it was used, determined what change in the game it would make. Jeremy decided to use it just following the veto ceremony where he and his ally Elissa were on the block. The power sent the game into a rewind undoing HoH, POV and nominations. A new HoH and POV winner was crowned. Suzan was the new HoH then nominated Ricky and Joseph. Joseph was evicted saving Jeremy and Elissa from eviction during that HoH.
  • Big Brother Australia HoH. For one HoH cycle the nominations were made by a point system taken from Big Brother Australia resulting in a VBB first 3-person nomination block: Jeremy, Elissa, Edward. Edward would receive the most votes and was evicted from the game
Controversies

At some point during the season it came to the attention of production that Karly and Colleen entered the game under false pretenses constructing fake FB profiles with the intent of concealing a pre-existing relationship and the fact that Colleen was using photos of a former player from season 1, who applied and was accepted into season 2. Once this was discovered and confirmed, for the integrity of the game, production had no choice but to remove both players from the game. This accelerated the game from final six to final four.
